Compare / Jobber

Tandem and Jobber: the monthly bill, plan by plan.

Jobber and Tandem both run a service business from one app. Here is the whole monthly bill each one publishes, dated and linked, and who each is likely to suit.

Cost
It publishes its prices, from $29 a month on Core, and they change with your team size. Tandem's are on the pricing page.
Fit
Its industries page lists HVAC, plumbing and electrical and says it helps home service pros across every industry.
Switching
Tandem's importer recognizes its export columns. The steps are below.

Who each one suits

Jobber may suit you if

  • Your work spans many kinds of service, not just the trades. Its industries page says it helps home service pros across every industry. Tandem is for HVAC, plumbing and electrical, in US dollars. As published on Oct 1, 2026: getjobber.com/industries
  • You want a QuickBooks sync today. Its pricing page lists a QuickBooks Online sync. Tandem's isn't offered yet.As published on Oct 1, 2026: getjobber.com/pricing

Tandem may suit you if

  • You're an owner-led trade shop and want to read the whole monthly bill without a demo call: one price per plan, with extra people and receptionist minutes written next to it.
  • You want the receptionist's rules and its per-minute cost written down before you turn it on.
  • You want a free website on every plan, edited on the page.

Switching from Jobber

Tandem's importer recognizes Jobber's export columns and matches them for you. You see every row before anything is saved.

1. Export from Jobber

  1. Clients: choose Clients, then More Actions, then Export Clients, pick CSV and any tag filter. The file arrives by email, up to 1,500 rows a file, in several files if you have more. Only admins can export clients. help.getjobber.com: export client information
  2. Invoices: open the Invoices report, press Export to CSV and choose all columns or the ones you picked. It's sent to the email you sign in with. help.getjobber.com: invoices report

We haven't checked Jobber's steps for exporting its price book, quotes, jobs and payments, so we don't give steps for them.

2. Upload under Settings → Import

It's on every plan. Tandem says it looks like a Jobber export and matches the columns. Every row is shown before anything is saved, with duplicates found by phone or email: skip them, merge them or add them anyway. You can undo an import while its records are untouched. Importing only reads the files you export; it doesn't connect to Jobber or change anything there.

What Tandem reads

  • Customers: name, company, email, mobile and other phones, service and billing addresses, tags, notes, lead source, the date they were added and the old app's customer ID.
  • Price book: name, description, category, price, cost and whether it's taxable.
  • History: jobs, estimates, invoices and payments, each as its own file, matched to the customer by the old customer ID, else email, mobile or a unique name. Each keeps its dates, amounts and old number.
  • CSV and Excel (.xlsx) files. If an Excel workbook has several sheets, you choose which one.

What it doesn't bring over yet

  • Customer equipment (a unit's model, serial number and warranty). Add it in the app.
  • A second service address on one customer. A customer with two properties comes as two rows, which are matched and merged.
  • Column names we haven't seen in a real export. The matching was built from help pages, so a renamed column is one you match by hand in the preview.
  • Line items in a cell we can't read. They come over as one line with the subtotal.

What importing won't do. It never texts, emails or charges your customers, and nobody is opted in to marketing unless your file says they agreed. Questions about a file? The FAQ covers switching.

What Tandem doesn't do yet

Consumer financing, Tap to Pay on the phone, a QuickBooks sync, Reserve with Google and Spanish screens and calls aren't built yet. The full list, kept current, is on the changelog.
